The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, Hamza Adan Haadow, officially inaugurated the newly constructed Ambassador’s Residence at the Somali Embassy in Dar es Salaam.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by officials from the Government of Tanzania, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Tanzania, and representatives of the Somali community in the country.

The newly completed residence reflects Somalia’s commitment to strengthening its diplomatic presence abroad and enhancing bilateral relations with the host country. The project, spearheaded by Ambassador Ilyas Ali Hassan, included extensive renovations and improvements to the embassy facilities, ensuring modern and secure premises for diplomatic operations.

Speaking at the event, Permanent Secretary Hamza praised Ambassador Ilyas for his leadership in executing the project and emphasized Somalia’s commitment to deepening friendly and cooperative ties with the United Republic of Tanzania.

Ambassador Ilyas Ali Hassan highlighted that the newly completed residence and upgraded embassy facilities represent a national asset, dedicated to serving Somali citizens and supporting Somalia’s diplomatic mission in Tanzania. He thanked all attendees for their participation and support in the successful completion of the project.
