Soldiers of the Somali National Army stationed on frontline positions, particularly in the Middle Shabelle region, on Friday performed Eid al-Fitr prayers together while maintaining high alert amid ongoing military operations.

The troops observed the prayers at their defensive positions, demonstrating readiness and vigilance in safeguarding national security despite active conflict conditions. Commanding officers delivered brief remarks, commending the soldiers for their bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to defending the country.

During the occasion, the soldiers extended Eid greetings to the Somali people, wishing them peace, unity, and prosperity. They reaffirmed their determination to continue operations against extremist groups, often referred to as Khawarij, to ensure lasting security and stability across Somalia.

The gathering also served as a moment of solidarity among the troops, who exchanged Eid greetings and expressed strong morale and confidence in achieving victory. They reiterated their commitment to protecting their faith, nation, and fellow citizens, even as they remain deployed on the frontlines.
