The Commissioner of Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) Mahamud Moallim along with senior Galmudug state officials laid the foundation stone for the Galmudug State Emergency Center on Tuesday
In a brief statement, the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) said that they will soon build an emergency center, which is in great need in Galmudug areas.
Commissioner Mahamud was joined by Galmudug Relief Minister Abdirahman Makkawi and the Mayor of Dhusamareb during the laying of the foundation stone.
On his part Galmudug State Relief Minister Makkawi appreciated the National Disaster Management for the construction of the center and thanked the Somali Disaster Management Agency.
A team from the National Disaster Management Agency led by Commissioner Mahamud Moallim on Sunday arrived in Dhusamareb for the implementation of emergency response centers in all member States of the Federal Government.
The agency last month dispatched hundreds of bags of food and non food itemsto Masjid Ali Gadud and Adale Districts to help victims affected by war and drought.Â
