The Somali Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Mr. Daauud Aweys Jaamac, accompanied by the Minister of Maritime Transport and Ports, Mr. Abdulqadir Mohamed Noor, held a meeting in Ankara with the Turkish Minister of Media and Public Relations, Mr. Burhanettin Duran.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Somalia and Turkey, particularly the role of media in highlighting the achievements and progress of both countries.

Both sides agreed to establish strategic collaboration to combat misinformation and to enhance modern media skills and expertise.

The discussions were part of an international conference aimed at reinforcing ties between Turkey and African nations, with a focus on the growing partnership between Somalia and Turkey. The conference included diplomats, academics, and experts who discussed cooperation in areas such as security, economy, social affairs, science, and community engagement.
