Somali Independent Media Houses Association ( SIMHA ) strongly condemns the killing of Radio Mogadishu Journalist on Sunday.

Unknown assilants shot and killed Sagal Salad near Plasma university in Mogadishu Hodan district.

Eyewitness told SIMHA that the gunmen prayed bullets on Sagal before fleeing the scene.

Police arrived later and said there ongoing with investigations.

SIMHA calls upon relevant authorities to speed up the investigation process and bring to book those responsible before justice.

No one has claimed the responsibility but armed group Alshabaab is the obvious suspect as it targets state media staff.

Late Sagal was part of Radio Mogadishu family which has lost several staff in the hands of armed group Alshabaab.
