Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has congratulated UK PM David Cameron and his conservative party for the win in the recently held general elections in the kingdom.
David Cameron was re-elected in a tightly contested elections between the labour and conservative parties.
“On behalf of the people and federal government of Somalia, I congratulated you and your party for the re-election in your country,†He said.
President Mohamud said the people of Somalia have learnt great lesson from UK elections which will help them in the first democratic elections set in his country towards the end of the next year.
He called for close diplomatic relations between the two countries while thanking the support of the UK government towards Somali people.
