Former Somali ambassador to Kenya has declared his bid for upcoming Presidential elections in Somalia latter this year.
Mohamed AliNur aka Ali Americo who served as Somali ambassador to Kenya (2007-2015) said he want to lead his country to bright future that many are awaiting.
“We had enough, the time is now,†he told hundreds who gathered at his launch at City Palace hotel in Mogadishu on Sunday.
Ambassador Americo wants to prioritize reconciliation if elected into office saying that should be the first step to towards true stability in the country that has experienced more than two decades of clan based strife.
“Dialogue for unity is key for this country,†he said.
Born in Mogadishu in 1962 Alinur promised to defeat terror and establish good relations with neighbouring states for common interest.
He will be joining the race with the current President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, former PM Abdullahi Farmajo and among others on 30th October.
