The chairman of Doolow District, Mr. Mohamed Hussein Abdi (Lafeey), conducted a nighttime inspection of the district’s IDP (internally displaced persons) camps to assess the security situation and the readiness of local forces. The visit aimed to ensure the safety of displaced persons and maintain overall order in the area, especially during nighttime hours when security risks are higher.

During the inspection, Mr. Lafeey visited each camp individually, meeting with community members and local administrators. He commended the security forces for their dedication and vigilance, emphasizing that nighttime patrols are essential for protecting the displaced population and maintaining peace throughout the district.

He also instructed the security personnel and local authorities to strengthen patrols and work closely with the community to enhance overall safety and public confidence. He stressed that cooperation between the local population and security forces is key to mitigating potential threats and maintaining stability in the district.

The inspection was attended by Doolow’s Deputy Chairman, Mr. Aadan Bare Ali, the district security chief, Mohamed Hassan Buulle, and other senior security officials. The officials provided detailed briefings on the current security situation, ongoing operations in the camps, and identified needs that require attention to ensure lasting safety.

This inspection is considered a morale booster for both the security forces and the administration, demonstrating the district leadership’s commitment to the protection of vulnerable populations, including internally displaced persons. These ongoing efforts are expected to reduce security incidents and strengthen community trust in local governance.
