The Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Mahad Mohamed Salad, attended a farewell iftar ceremony held in honor of the agency’s former Security Assistant, Brigadier General Adan Mohamed Omar.

The ceremony marked Brig. Gen. Adan’s departure from NISA following his recent appointment by the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia as the Commander of the Somali National Army’s Special Forces.

During the event, Director Mahad Mohamed Salad praised Brig. Gen. Adan for his significant contributions to national security and his dedication to the responsibilities entrusted to the intelligence agency. He also wished him success in his new role leading the country’s elite military forces.

The ceremony, held at the headquarters of NISA in Mogadishu, was attended by senior officers and officials from the agency.

At the conclusion of the event, Brig. Gen. Adan Mohamed Omar was presented with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his service and commitment to strengthening the country’s security.
