Somali Army Ground Forces Commander visits Awdheegle to boost frontline operations.

The Commander of the Somali National Army Ground Forces, Brigadier General Sahal Abdullahi Omar, also known as Gen. Khalid, arrived today in Awdheegle District, located in the Lower Shabelle Region, accompanied by a delegation of senior military officers.

The visit aimed to boost the morale of the Somali National Army and accelerate ongoing military operations against Al-Shabaab.

The trip is part of the Federal Government of Somalia’s continued efforts to strengthen security in the region by supporting frontline operations against terrorist groups.

During the visit, the Army Commander met with local commanders and troops operating in the area to assess the security situation and encourage sustained pressure on militant elements.
