The State Minister of Internal Security of Jubbaland, Mohamed Abdi Kaliil, held an important meeting today at the Ministry’s headquarters with officers from the United Nations Police (UNPOL) operating in the region. The session was also attended by Deeq Isaaq, Deputy Chairperson of the Jubbaland Parliament Committee on Security and Social Affairs.

The meeting focused on strengthening security cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Security and UNPOL. Discussions centered on supporting police operations, enhancing the skills and professionalism of law enforcement personnel, and accelerating initiatives to maintain safety across Jubbaland.

Both parties highlighted the importance of continuous collaboration to strengthen security, enhance the capacity of security institutions, and ensure they play a prominent role in promoting stability and development throughout the region.

Deputy Minister Kaliil expressed appreciation to UNPOL officers for their support to Jubbaland’s security agencies, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to maintaining effective and sustainable cooperation to achieve lasting security.
