The Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, has expressed his appreciation to the Council of Ministers for approving a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Port State Control (PSC) administrations of the Indian Ocean region.

The agreement is aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and information-sharing among member countries, contributing to improved maritime safety, environmental protection, and enhanced confidence in port operations across the region.

Minister Abdulkadir noted that the Federal Government of Somalia remains committed to implementing key maritime laws and regulations that safeguard national interests and promote a secure, reliable, and internationally trusted maritime environment.
