The Somali Police Force has announced that it is fully prepared to ensure security during the upcoming one-person, one-vote elections scheduled to take place in the country in the near future.

The announcement was made during a crucial meeting held this evening, chaired by the Commander of the Somali Police Force, Major General Asad Osman Abdullahi.

The meeting, which was attended by the leadership, sections, and independent units of the Somali Police Force, primarily focused on strengthening national security and addressing potential security threats posed by the Al-Shabaab terrorist group.

In particular, the Commander emphasized the role of the police in ensuring the safety of the electoral process, ensuring that the upcoming elections are free and fair.
