Djiboutian and Burundian peacekeepers serving with African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM) have been deployed last month to Adado city to protect the electoral sites, airport and presidential palace.

Tension run very high in Adado following the murder of the delegate as clan disputes threatened early voting to elect Galmudug representatives to Somalia’s Lower House of the federal parliament.

Despite the anxiety, the election for the lower house has resumed, with more parliamentary candidates have been elected, including Ex information minister Mustaf Dhuhulow and warlord Botan Isse Alin.
