The Somali parliamentarians are on Monday voting for the rules of the journalists in Somalia, and the outcome will be officially announced instantaneously after the voting is counted.

Initially before this vote of the parliamentarians there has been no official rule which was keeping off the journalists from the national constitution.

It use to happen that government soldiers particularly the security agencies to assault journalists and their places of work, but now this will keep them apart.

Somalia is on the top list of the countries where journalist are killed, detained or physically harassed.
