The Minister for security in the autonomous state of Puntland Mr. Abdi Hirsi Ali has strongly criticized the formation of Galmudug state, while addressing the press in Garowe town the headquarters of Puntland state.

“The reason behind the formation of the so called Galmudug state is chiefly to destroy the wellbeing of Puntland state, but we are telling them in loud and clear voice that Puntland will ever be there however you play your dirty games around” said Hirsi.

This will be the first time for the Minister to talk about the tensions and the fights in Galkaio town of late between forces loyal to Puntland and Galmudug states.

Minister Hirsi has also disregarded the recent treaty signed between the Puntland and Galmudug states in the town of Galkaio, and called it a very fragile and fruitless treaty.

It was on the 22nd November when armed forces from Puntland and Galmudug states took arms against each other, and in the fight over 30 people have been killed and over 60 wounded and left over 40,000 people to flee from their houses.
