A top Puntland intelligence chief Mohamed Aydiid has sustained bad injures following a clashes between his security guards and Puntland police at a checkpoint in Garowe, Puntland headquarters.

The clash emerged when the police tried to check the Chief’s vehicle and both sides exchanged heavy gunfire confrontations last night . At least three of his security guards were arrested for questioning officials said.

The Puntland official were admitted Garowe General Hospital for treatment amid Puntland President Abdi-wali Gaas has appointed him to head the PIA bureau office in Sanaag region.
