Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Mr Hakan Çavuşoğlu has landed in Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport on Thursday.
Mr. Çavuşoğlu and a delegation he was leading were welcomed at the airport by his Somali counterpart Mr. Mahdi Mohamed Guled and other government officials.
Mr. Çavuşoğlu is expected to launch the construction of a military training camp in Mogadishu’s Hodan district and oversee other services that his government has provided to the Somali government.
Turkey has remained Somalia’s closest development partner since intervening in the wake of the 2011 famine.
