It was on Tuesday evening when the father of the Somali Military Court Chief Hassan Ali Shute was killed by unidentified gunmen outside a mosque near his residence in Mogadishu’s Darkenley district.
Alshabab has, later on, claimed responsibility for the killing, saying they killed a municipal council official who is attached to the land allocation department.
So far no arrest has been made in connection with the incident but top army officials said that a full investigation will be made to track down the perpetrators and bring them to book.
There has been an increase in the rate of assassination in Mogadishu for the last few weeks but so far there is no one arrested for those crimes.
