Somalia Ministry of Immigration has denied reports that its Garowe offices have been shut down indefinitely to bar people from applying for passports.
Hundreds of people have been stranded at the Garowe offices with no services being provided by the immigration offices.
Garowe Immigration offices are also used by a majority of the people of Somaliland seeking to get a passport.
The recent row between Hargeisa and Mogadishu led to an allegation that the office had been closed in retaliation to the $1Bn Berbera Port deal.
The Director General of Immigration and Naturalisation Mohamed Adan Kofi told reporters that the rented Garowe offices are to be moved to a government building.
The new office will resume operations on Tuesday.
