Somalia and Singapore’s foreign ministers held a phone call on Friday to explore stronger bilateral ties, reaffirm Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and stress commitments to regional stability and international law.

Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, engaged in a productive telephone conversation today with his Singaporean counterpart, H.E. Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan.

The discussion centered on exploring new avenues to bolster bilateral relations between the two nations. Both ministers underscored the critical importance of upholding Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, in line with international law and the United Nations Charter.

This dialogue signals a positive step toward deeper cooperation, amid Somalia’s ongoing efforts to expand diplomatic partnerships globally.
