The Governor of Kismayo District and Mayor of the city, Omar Abdullahi Mohamed, accompanied by the Deputy District Commissioner and Municipal Secretary, Dahir Hussein Abdi, along with district engineers, conducted an inspection and road-marking exercise on access roads leading to Sinai Market.
The roads were officially designated as regulated parking areas intended for vehicles transporting vegetables and produce to the market. The initiative aims to organize parking in a structured manner, reduce traffic congestion, and improve the flow of vehicles and commercial activities in and around the busy market.
Local authorities said the move is part of broader efforts to enhance urban order, traffic management, and market efficiency in Kismayo.
