Somalia’s transport and economic ministers inspect voter card distribution in Warta-Nabada ahead of elections

The Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mohamed Farah Nuux; the Minister of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development,  Mahmoud Abdirahman Beene-beene; and the State Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Abdikarim Abdow Haydar, conducted an official inspection today in Warta-Nabada District, Banadir region.

The visit focused on monitoring the smooth progress of voter card collection ahead of the Local Council elections scheduled for 25 December in Mogadishu. The officials visited registration centers, reviewed ongoing activities, and received briefings from district authorities and election committees.

During the inspection, the ministers commended the efforts of staff involved in voter registration and card distribution, emphasizing the importance of ensuring citizens receive their voter cards efficiently, safely, and on time. They also encouraged residents of Warta-Nabada to actively participate in the democratic process and prepare to vote.

The ministers reaffirmed the Federal Government of Somalia’s commitment to supporting free and fair elections that reflect the will of the people, strengthening both democracy and good governance in the country.
