Waddani Party leader Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi Irro has called for the resignation of President Muse Abdi Bihi and an early election after he allegedly lied to the breakaway region about the details of the tripartite Berbera Port and Military deal.
Irro has termed tge agreement between UAE port operator DP World, Ethiopia and Somaliland as illegal.
The opposition leader had called for a press conference to respond to UAE State Minister claims in an interview that the agreement had been signed with Somalia with the then government of Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
Irro says the Bihi should face treasonavle charges for “hiding the truth” to Somaliland.
The multi million dollar tripartite agreement that will see the expansion of the Berbera port and establishment of a UAE military base wass signed in Abu Dhabi last March.
