Russia clearly opposed any actions that undermine Somalia’s unity, territorial integrity, and nationhood, stressing that foreign interference in the country’s domestic affairs is unacceptable.

In addition, Russia aligned itself with other Security Council members in underscoring the inviolability of Somalia’s sovereignty and the obligation to respect international laws and principles that govern statehood.

Finally, Russia called on the international community to adopt a unified stance in safeguarding Somalia’s unity and independence.
