The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, visited polling stations across Mogadishu today as citizens flocked to vote in the Banadir Regional Council elections.

The Prime Minister toured locations in Shangani, Boondheere, and Xamar-Jajab districts, observing the smooth conduct of the elections, security arrangements, and services provided to voters. He emphasized that maintaining peace, ensuring transparency in the electoral process, and respecting citizens’ choices are key pillars of genuine democracy, a responsibility shared by all government institutions and society at large.
