The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Jubbaland State Government, Abdifitah Mohamed Mukhtar, hosted a special luncheon in honor of nearly 85 journalists drawn from Puntland, Nairobi, and Mogadishu, in recognition of their outstanding role in covering the Somalia Future Forum.

Minister Abdifitah highly commended the dedication, professionalism, and sense of responsibility demonstrated by the journalists throughout the conference. He emphasized that the media serves as the backbone of public awareness and plays a vital role in promoting national development, unity, and informed public discourse.

He reaffirmed that the Jubbaland Ministry of Information remains fully committed to strengthening cooperation with the media fraternity and supporting the honorable role journalists play in delivering accurate, transparent, and reliable information to the public.

The luncheon was also attended by Dr. Koofi Adam and several Jubbaland cabinet ministers, who likewise praised the journalists for their exemplary coverage of the forum and their contribution to ensuring the conference’s objectives reached a wide audience both locally and internationally.

In his closing remarks, the Minister expressed sincere appreciation to all journalists who took part in covering the Somalia Future Forum and encouraged them to further enhance their efforts, uphold professional ethics, and continue serving the public with integrity and commitment.
