The President of the Puntland regional government, Said Abdullahi Deni, has announced a major cabinet reshuffle, issuing a decree that introduces significant changes to the composition of his administration.
According to a statement released by the presidency, the shake-up, referred to locally as iskushaandhayn, involves the appointment of new ministers, deputy ministers, state ministers, directors, and regional governors.
The directive, which was detailed in a circular from the president’s office, aims to restructure the executive branch of the regional state. While the specific names and portfolios of the new appointees were not listed in the initial announcement, the move signifies a notable shift in the leadership of key government institutions.
The regional state is still concentrating on security, political stability, and administrative effectiveness at the time of this reorganization. After the appointment process is finished, the changes are anticipated to be formally implemented.
