The President of the Puntland regional government, Said Abdullahi Deni, has announced a major cabinet reshuffle, issuing a decree that introduces significant changes to the composition of his administration.
According to a statement released by the presidency, the shake-up, referred to locally as iskushaandhayn, involves the appointment of new ministers, deputy ministers, state ministers, directors, and regional governors.
The directive, which was detailed in a circular from the president’s office, aims to restructure the executive branch of the regional state. While the specific names and portfolios of the new appointees were not listed in the initial announcement, the move signifies a notable shift in the leadership of key government institutions.
