Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Tuesday received a high-level UK delegation led by Ambassador-at-Large for Human Rights, Ms. Eleanor Sanders, for discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and advancing Somalia’s human rights agenda. The Prime Minister praised the UK’s pivotal support in recent national achievements, including the lifting of the arms embargo and Somalia’s reinstatement to the UN Human Rights Council.
The President of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Irro), received the UK Ambassador Charles King and his delegation at the Presidential Palace in Hargeisa. The meeting focused on strengthening the historic and strategic partnership between Somaliland and the United Kingdom
