In a move aimed at strengthening the country’s corrections system, Somalia’s Council of Ministers has officially approved the appointment of Major General Mohamed Sheikh Hassan Hamud as the new commander of the Somali Custodial Corps, following a formal recommendation from the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.
