Somalia Sisterhood organized a girls’ basketball match in Mogadishu’s Shibis district as part of the global 16 Days of Activism campaign, using sports to highlight challenges facing Somali girls and the need for strengthened protection and equality.

Jubbaland’s Minister of Security, Lt. Gen. Yusuf Hussein Osman (Dhumaal), held important talks with the UNDSS head for Jubbaland to expand cooperation, improve technical support, and accelerate joint security efforts across the region.

The Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development hosted a major forum in Mogadishu, bringing together Somali and international investors. Minister Mahmoud C. Sheikh Farah highlighted improving investment conditions and urged close cooperation to accelerate the National Transformation Plan and achieve sustainable economic growth.

Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Tuesday received a high-level UK delegation led by Ambassador-at-Large for Human Rights, Ms. Eleanor Sanders, for discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and advancing Somalia’s human rights agenda. The Prime Minister praised the UK’s pivotal support in recent national achievements, including the lifting of the arms embargo and Somalia’s reinstatement to the UN Human Rights Council.
