Somalia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Salah Ahmed Jama, met with residents from across Mogadishu to encourage voter registration and participation ahead of the elections scheduled for the 25th of this month. He emphasized the government’s commitment to conducting free, fair, and secure elections.
The National Electoral Commission (NEC) and Boundaries Committee have begun distributing voter registration cards in Hodan District, part of ongoing preparations for the upcoming local elections. Residents, including people with special needs, praised the commission for ensuring accessible and inclusive services, ahead of the Banadir Regional Council elections scheduled for the 25th of next month.
