The Lower Shabelle Regional Court has executed a qisas sentence against Mohamed Adan Isaaq for the murder of Sadiiq Ibrahim Ahmed, with the enforcement taking place before a large public gathering in Baraawe.
Puntland’s Mudug Court has sentenced Hodan Mohamud Dirie to death for murdering 14-year-old Saabirin Saylaan. The case, which sparked protests in Galkayo, also saw her husband sentenced to one year in prison for his involvement.
