Somalia’s National Commission for Refugees and IDPs Chairman, Ahmed Hussein Ilmi, participated in the IGAD Annual Conference on “Protection and Durable Solutions” held in Djibouti. The conference reviewed progress made on regional displacement initiatives and discussed ongoing challenges, including reduced humanitarian aid and the impacts of climate change. Somalia was praised for its significant advancements, particularly in implementing the IDP Protection and Assistance Bill.
