Somalia Highlights Women’s Empowerment Efforts at International Conference in New York City

Somalia’s Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development convened a high-level consultation in Mogadishu bringing together federal and state planning ministers. The meeting focused on accelerating implementation of the National Transformation Plan 2025–2029, strengthening intergovernmental coordination, and addressing the ongoing drought. Officials also reviewed progress under the previous National Development Plan and outlined priorities for the coming year.

Somalia will host its First National Justice Sector Convention in Mogadishu on 22–23 November 2025, bringing together key actors to discuss reforms and strengthening of the country’s judicial system.
