Somali Embassy in Nairobi hosts Annual Ramadan Iftar Dinner
The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia in Nairobi hosted its Annual Iftar Dinner last night at the embassy premises.
The high-profile event was attended by ambassadors, officials from the Government of Kenya, business and banking leaders, religious scholars, academics, members of the Somali community in Kenya, officials from the Federal Government of Somalia, and representatives of the media.
Held during the holy month of Ramadan, the Iftar reflected unity, mutual respect, and the strengthening of friendly relations between Somalia and Kenya, as well as the close ties between the peoples of the two countries.
Ramadan, a time of worship, reflection, compassion, and solidarity, highlights the importance of togetherness. Sharing Iftar symbolizes unity and deep social and diplomatic bonds, especially during this blessed period.
The Somali Embassy expressed its sincere appreciation to all distinguished guests who attended and shared the evening. The Embassy expressed hope that the holy month will further promote peace, understanding, generosity, and social cohesion, while strengthening cooperation and relations between Somalia and Kenya.
