Somaliland’s Information Minister Ahmed Yasin Sheikh Ali Ayaanle resigned following deadly clashes in Borama over the controversial Xeer Ciise event. The minister said the responsibility lay with the President, who had approved the event, and urged the public to maintain peace while grievances are addressed through dialogue.
