The Commander of the Haramcad Special Police Unit, Major Abdikhakiin Siciid, has officiated the graduation of the unit’s 3rd Battalion, 1st Company after completing intensive training at the TURKSOM Academy. The ceremony, attended by Turkish Ozel Harekat officers and Somali security officials, highlights ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s security forces through advanced capacity-building programs.
Special units of the Jubbaland Police carried out security operations along the coastal areas of Lower Jubba, including the town of Kudhaa. The operations targeted militant groups attempting to disrupt local security. Police successfully thwarted these activities, strengthened patrols, and met with local officials to coordinate ongoing safety measures in the region.
Two people were killed and several others injured in Borama protests against the celebration of the book “Xeer Ciise.” Somaliland authorities have called for calm, warned against property destruction, and urged dialogue to resolve tensions.
