Mass protests erupt across Banaadir region against Israeli interference in Somalia

Major demonstrations have erupted across the districts of Somalia’s Banaadir region as citizens protest Israel’s interference with the territorial unity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

This morning, thousands of Somali citizens took to the streets to demonstrate their rejection of Israel’s actions, showing solidarity and a collective readiness to defend their country and its people.

Speaking to national media, participant Caasho Caddow Jimcaale said, “As long as we live, we will not allow anyone to undermine the unity of our country.”

Abdulqaadir Mohamed Hasan, Chairperson of the Banaadir Schools Union, stated, “This morning, all Somali students are ready to respond to the Israeli violation.”

Jawaahir Baarqab, Chairperson of the Banaadir Women’s Association, told national media, “The Somali government has achieved diplomatic victories against Israel, and this is a source of joy.”

Across Banaadir’s districts, citizens continue to protest, asserting their sovereignty and demonstrating their commitment to the unity and territorial integrity of Somalia.
