Somali ambassador joins African envoys meeting in South Africa to discuss regional and international issues.

The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to South Africa, H.E. Mohamed Sheikh Issaq, participated in a meeting that brought together all African ambassadors accredited to South Africa.

During the meeting, ambassadors discussed a range of important issues concerning international relations and matters affecting African states.

A key topic of discussion was Israel, which was accused of illegally recognizing parts of the territory of the Federal Republic of Somalia, particularly the northern regions. The issue was widely debated due to its implications for regional stability and international law.

Addressing the meeting, Ambassador Mohamed Sheikh Issaq delivered an important speech in which he firmly stated that any action interfering with Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity is unacceptable and constitutes a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.

The Somali ambassador warned that Israel is attempting to export the conflicts of the Middle East onto Somali territory, a move he described as a serious threat to regional security and stability in the Horn of Africa.

African ambassadors attending the meeting expressed strong opposition to Israel’s actions, noting that such steps undermine regional stability. They reaffirmed the sanctity of Somalia’s territorial and airspace sovereignty and stressed the importance of respecting the unity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

The Federal Government of Somalia once again reiterated its clear and unwavering position on safeguarding its territorial unity and called on the international community to respect Somalia’s sovereignty and internationally recognized legal frameworks.
