Somalia’s Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport, Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, attending the 34th session of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council in London, held a meeting with IMO Secretary-General, Mr. Arsenio Dominguez.
During the meeting, Minister Nur formally handed over Somalia’s official accession documents for the International Maritime Satellite Organization (IMSO) agreement — a move aimed at strengthening maritime security, enhancing maritime communications, and boosting international cooperation in Somalia’s territorial waters.
The meeting was attended by the General Manager of Mogadishu Port, Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (U.S.), and Somalia’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Abdulqadir Abdi Xaashi.
