Somalia’s Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport Abdulqadir Mohamed Nur attends the 34th IMO Assembly in London, accompanied by senior Somali officials
The Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdulqadir Mohamed Nur, attended the 34th Assembly of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which recently opened in London.
The minister was accompanied by the Director General of Mogadishu Port, Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (USA), Somalia’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Abdulqadir Abdi Hashi, and other senior officials.
The IMO Assembly brings together member states to discuss global maritime issues, including safety, security, environmental protection, and the development of international shipping standards. Minister Nur’s participation underscores Somalia’s commitment to strengthening its maritime sector and enhancing its presence in international maritime governance.
