Commanding officers overseeing the mission informed Somali National Media that at least seven AlShabaab fighters were confirmed dead at the site of the attack. They added that security forces continue to pursue remaining militants and have successfully cleared several locations previously used by the group as bases of operation.
Due to the nocturnal nature of the operation, officials noted that the full extent of enemy casualties remains unverified. However, preliminary assessments indicate that a number of additional militants sustained injuries or were otherwise neutralized during the mission. The officers emphasized that a comprehensive report on the results of the operation would be shared with the public once verified.
