PM Hamza lands in Dhusamareb for talks on peace and national unity
Somali Prime Minister arrives in Dhusamareb for Heritage Forum and official engagements
The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia,Hamza Abdi Barre, arrived today in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug State, where he received a warm welcome from the President of Galmudug, Ahmed Abdi Karie, the Vice President, members of the Galmudug Council of Ministers, and representatives from various segments of society.
During his stay in Dhusamareb, Prime Minister Hamza will participate in the Heritage Consensus Forum, an annual platform that brings together political leaders, policymakers, scholars, and civil society actors. This year’s forum focuses on key national issues, including politics, security, and the rebuilding of Somalia’s state institutions.
The Prime Minister is also expected to hold a series of meetings with the leadership of the Galmudug administration and local community representatives. These discussions will center on strengthening peace, advancing development, enhancing security, and reinforcing national unity.
Officials stated that the visit reflects the federal government’s continued commitment to inclusive dialogue and cooperation with federal member states, as well as its support for platforms that promote consensus-building and long-term stability across Somalia.
