Prime Minister Barre travels to morocco for the 17th MEdays forum
Somalia joins 120 nations at MEdays 2025, addressing global security, economy, and diplomacy
The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, along with a delegation, departed today for the Kingdom of Morocco in North Africa following an official invitation from His Majesty the King of Morocco.
Prime Minister Barre is among leaders representing 120 countries attending the 17th edition of the MEdays Forum, an annual gathering that focuses on pressing global issues including the rapidly changing international political landscape, security, economic development, and cross-border cooperation.
During the forum, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold meetings with several international leaders participating in the event. In addition, he will meet with senior officials from Morocco and is expected to deliver a speech highlighting Somalia’s progress, strategic priorities, and its role in regional stability and international cooperation.
The forum brings together representatives from countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and other island nations, all of whom share a common interest in addressing critical global challenges, fostering dialogue, and strengthening multilateral partnerships.
The participation of Somalia at the MEdays Forum underscores the country’s commitment to global engagement and its proactive approach to contributing to international discourse on security, economic development, and regional integration.
