                Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, on Thursday held a meeting with prominent Somali women representing civil society organizations, women leaders, and members of the security sector, focusing on their critical role in national peace, governance, and participation in the upcoming elections.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister praised Somali women for their longstanding contributions to peacebuilding, reconstruction, and national development. He emphasized that sustainable peace and effective governance cannot be achieved without women’s meaningful participation and inclusion in decision-making processes.
“Somali women have always been at the heart of rebuilding our nation,” said Prime Minister Hamza. “Their voices, leadership, and wisdom are vital in shaping a peaceful, prosperous, and united Somalia.”
