Prime Minister Hamza Hails Somali investors for driving job creation and national economic growth
 
                                                
                
                Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia,Hamza Abdi Barre, has lauded Somali businesspeople for their vital role in boosting investment and advancing national development, particularly in the capital Mogadishu, which has witnessed significant security improvements in recent years.
Speaking during the official opening of Hotel Amara, a new state-of-the-art establishment built by Somali investors, Prime Minister Hamza praised the private sector’s commitment to rebuilding the nation’s economy and urged more entrepreneurs to invest within the country.
“The investment of Somali entrepreneurs inside their own country brings multiple benefits, creating jobs for the youth, enhancing the beauty of our cities, and strengthening the national economy,” said the Prime Minister. “Through the National Transformation Plan, we are giving Somali businesspeople a central role in driving the country’s development.”
He emphasized that local investment not only helps reduce unemployment but also contributes to urban renewal and economic stability.
The Prime Minister noted that the improved security situation in Mogadishu, along with the introduction of new business-friendly regulations, provides a conducive environment for sustainable investment.
“The government has worked hard to create the legal and policy frameworks needed to support investors,” he added. “We encourage our entrepreneurs to trust in the stability of their homeland and be part of its transformation.”
The event brought together government officials, members of the business community, and development partners, all of whom praised the growing confidence of Somali investors in rebuilding the nation’s future.
Prime Minister Hamza concluded his remarks by reaffirming the government’s commitment to fostering a strong partnership with the private sector to achieve long-term economic resilience and prosperity.
