Mogadishu Port manager hosts sudanese ambassador and university delegation
The General Manager of Mogadishu Port, Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (Ameeriko), today welcomed Sudan’s Ambassador to Somalia, Abdelrahman Khalil Ahmed, along with a delegation from Al Neelain University. The visit, attended by senior Somali education officials, focused on strengthening academic and institutional cooperation. During the meeting, Daaru Salaam University presented a fully funded scholarship to the port management as part of efforts to support capacity-building initiatives.
The General Manager of Mogadishu Port, Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (Ameeriko), today received in his office a delegation led by the Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Somalia, Abdelrahman Khalil Ahmed (Afandi). The Deputy Manager of Mogadishu Port, Ismail Awmuuse, was also present at the meeting.
The delegation accompanying the Sudanese Ambassador included senior officials from Al Neelain University, one of Sudan’s prominent higher education institutions, who have been on a visit to Mogadishu in recent days. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in areas of education, capacity-building, and institutional partnership.
Representatives from Daaru Salaam University, who also attended the meeting, presented the General Manager of Mogadishu Port with a fully funded scholarship opportunity offered by the university as part of efforts to promote educational advancement and support professional development within national institutions.
Ambassador Ameeriko welcomed the gesture and highlighted the importance of academic partnerships in enhancing the skills and capabilities of Somalia’s workforce.
