Somali national army honors fallen soldiers in iftar event in Mogadishu

The command of the Somali National Army organized a special Iftar gathering to honor soldiers who lost their lives in the fight against Al-Shabaab, recognizing their sacrifice in defending the country, religion, and the Somali people.

The event brought together senior officials from the Federal Government of Somalia, led by the Minister of Defence, alongside top military leaders including the Chief of Defence Forces and other high-ranking officers, as well as national-level officials.

During the gathering, speakers paid tribute to the courage and dedication of the Somali National Army, commending their continued efforts in the ongoing campaign against Al-Shabaab. They emphasized the bravery and selflessness shown by troops on the frontlines, noting that their sacrifices play a crucial role in safeguarding national security and stability.
