The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Saalax Axmed Jaamac, and the Governor of Banaadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Xasan Maxamed Xuseen (Muungaab), held a meeting in the capital to discuss the country’s overall situation, state-building priorities, and the acceleration of key development initiatives for Mogadishu and the nation at large.
The discussions focused on strengthening governance frameworks and enhancing coordination between federal and regional authorities to ensure effective service delivery and sustainable progress. Particular emphasis was placed on implementing the vision of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Xasan Sheekh Maxamuud, aimed at reinforcing state institutions, advancing security, promoting national unity, and decentralizing quality social services to reach citizens across the country.
Both leaders underscored the importance of unified efforts and institutional collaboration between federal and regional levels to achieve national objectives and restore public trust in government institutions. They agreed that enhanced cooperation would be essential in addressing pressing governance challenges and accelerating reforms in the capital.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Governor for Security and Politics of Banaadir Region, Mohamed Ahmed Dirie (Yabooh), reflecting the administration’s commitment to aligning security and political strategies with broader national development goals.
